Tibco, which develops integration software and messaging middleware solutions for enterprises, has overhauled its software line in a big way.

“This is the biggest technology refresh in Tibco’s history,” said Rourke McNamara, senior director of global product marketing. The point of the upgrades was to expand the range of duties and work more closely together as an integrated stack, he added.

Tibco also incorporated a new BPM application into the ActiveMatrix suite, which now allows workflows to be managed under ActiveMatric. Eventually Tibco plans to phase out its current BMP tool known as iProcess and replace it entirely with ActiveMatrix BPM.

“We want to give folks a single set of tools, a single environment, a single model of administration and runtime, for all of these technologies,” McNamara said.
