Survey: Gamer Girls More Likely to Carry Weapons to School

Researchers from the Department of Psychology at the Yale University School of Medicine in West Haven, Connecticut, surveyed 4,028 adolescents about "gaming and reported problems with gaming and other health behaviors." A little over half (51.2 percent) reported gaming, and of those nearly a third (29.2 percent) were girls. Nothing surprising so far, but get this: "There were no negative health correlates of gaming in boys and lower odds of smoking regularly; however, girls who reported gaming were less likely to report depression and more likely to report getting into serious fights and carrying a weapon to school," according to the survey. Corsair HS1 USB Gaming Headset Review

Company's first headset makes good first impression Now, the first thing you’re going to notice about the HS1 USB gaming headset is that it isn’t the best looking set out there. It’s bulky, the color choice is uninspired, and the odd decision to pad the bottom and top of the headband gives the whole thing a sort of bloated aesthetic. There—now that that’s out of the way, we can talk about the reasons that Corsair’s first headset kicks ass[......]

Malibal Nine X7200 Review

Small vendor, humongous machine Prior to receiving the Nine X7200, we were unfamiliar with Malibal, and its motto, “Enlighten Transmute,” was equally mysterious. But the company claims to make the World’s Fastest Laptop, a concept that needs no explanation—only proof. To be honest, calling this 17-inch desktop replacement a laptop is somewhat ludicrous, as you’d probably do bodily harm bearing this machine’s 13-plus pounds atop your lap for any extended period[......]

Bethesda Targets Major New Vegas Bugs in VATS, Plans to Fire Off Patch “in The Coming Weeks”

We suppose that – on some level – Fallout: New Vegas' ticking time bomb-like tendency to blow up in your face at the slightest provocation is fitting, given the subject matter. However, that doesn't make it any less annoying to have your ninth 26-hour marathon session derailed by a full-stop crash or a quest that requires you to speak with someone who's somehow managed to teleport into the core of the earth.
